Getting Started

What is this platform?

This is a personal storytelling platform that allows you to preserve and share meaningful conversations and memories with your loved ones. You can create stories through video conversations, voice recordings, text, or by uploading existing audio and video files.

How do I create my first story?

Creating your first story is easy:

Decide on a topic - Think about the memory or conversation you want to preserve
Choose your creation method:

Use the manual flow to create your story on your own, OR
Ask Annie, our AI story prompter, to help guide you through the process

Join a storytelling session where you can create your story through:

Recording a live video conversation
Using voice-to-text to speak your story
Typing your story directly as text
Uploading existing audio or video files

Who is Annie?

Annie is our AI story prompter who helps guide you through the storytelling process. If you're not sure where to start or want helpful prompts and questions to spark memories, Annie can assist you in creating meaningful stories.

What is a "Storytelling session"?

A storytelling session is where all your stories are created. Think of it as your creative workspace where you can record, upload, or write stories in any format you prefer.

Books & Collections

What is a Book?

A Book is your main container for organizing stories. Each Book is dedicated to one loved one and can contain multiple Collections of stories.

How much does a Book cost?

Each Book is purchased separately. One purchase includes one Book for one loved one. If you'd like to create Books for multiple loved ones, you'll need to purchase additional Books.

Who can be part of a Book?

Each Book has three types of participants:

One Loved One - the person the stories are about or for
One Account Holder - the owner who manages the Book
Multiple Contributors - people who can add stories to the Book

What are Collections?

Collections are groups of stories within a Book. You can organize your stories into different Collections by theme, time period, topic, or any way that makes sense to you. One Book can have many Collections.

Can I have multiple Books?

Yes! Each Book is purchased separately, so you can buy additional Books if you want to create stories for multiple loved ones. Each purchase includes one Book dedicated to one loved one.

Privacy & Sharing

Are my stories private?

Yes! By default, all stories and personal conversations you create are private and will not be shared publicly. You have complete control over what gets shared and with whom.

Can I share my stories?

Yes! You can share Collections and the stories within them as Digital Books. You have flexibility in what you share:

Share one Collection or multiple Collections
Choose to share publicly or keep them private
Control who has access to your Digital Books

What's the difference between regular Collections and Digital Books?

Regular Collections are private by default and stored in your Book. Digital Books are the shareable versions of your Collections that you can choose to distribute publicly or to specific people.

Account & Data Management

Can I delete my stories?

Yes, you have full control over your content. You can delete individual stories at any time.

Can I delete a Book?

Yes, you can delete entire Books if you choose. Please note that this will remove all Collections and stories within that Book. Contributors do not have access to delete books unless they have been granted full authoring access

Can I delete my account?

Contributors: Your account access will be removed and per your story contribution agreement, your contributions will remain part of the book even if you delete your account
Loved Ones: Your account access will be removed and per your story contribution agreement, your contributions will remain part of the book even if you delete your account
Primary Account Holder: The user who joined immediately after will automatically become the new Admin
Other contributors can continue using the storytelling book normally

Payment:

Your payment methods will be removed from the storytelling book
Current plan continues until the next renewal date
The new Admin must add a payment method before renewal

Refund Eligibility:

Storytelling Books purchased within the last 30 days: Full refund + plan cancelled
Storytelling Books older than 30 days: No refund, plan continues until renewal

All Shared Tribute Books you created will be:

Permanently deleted
All content removed (this cannot be recovered)

What happens to shared Digital Books if I delete my account?

The user who joined immediately after will automatically become the new Admin and there will be no impact to the Digital Books

Creating Stories

What video conversation features are available?

You can have live video conversations that are recorded and saved as stories within your Book. These can only be one-on-one conversations and are accessible via the story editing options

How does voice-to-text work?

Simply speak naturally, and the platform will transcribe your words into text. You can then edit the transcription before saving it as a story.

What file formats can I upload?

You can upload existing audio and video files to preserve stories you've already captured.

Is there a limit to how many stories I can create?

No, there isn't. However, there is a limit to 20hrs of call recording time per book.

Can I edit stories after I've created them?

Yes! Absolutely. You can edit stories even after the Digital Book is created!

Contributors

How do I add Contributors to my Book?

You have the option to add them during onboarding, from the dashboard or from your Account page under Story Assets,

What can Contributors do?

Contributors can add stories to the Book, helping to build a richer collection of memories and conversations about the loved one.

Can Contributors delete or edit other people's stories?

NO, they cannot edit or delete other people’s stories unless their permissions have been updated. They can view all the stories.

Can I remove a Contributor?

No, you cannot.

Technical Support

What devices can I use?

Any smart phone device or a computer with a camera can be used

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes! You do.

How is my data backed up?

Your data is securely stored on reliable cloud systems that automatically back up and replicate information to prevent loss. Only you and people you authorize can access it. If you delete a book or your account, your data is safely retained for 30 days in case you need it restored, and then it’s permanently removed.
