Act3.app is a platform for preserving and sharing personal stories and memories. We're committed to maintaining a safe, respectful community where everyone can create and collaborate freely.

Community Standards

1. Be Respectful and Kind

  • Treat all users, contributors, and community members with respect

  • Engage constructively, even when you disagree

  • Be mindful that stories may contain sensitive personal experiences

  • Respect different perspectives, backgrounds, and life experiences

2. No Harassment or Bullying

We do not tolerate:

  • Targeted harassment, threats, or intimidation

  • Bullying or abusive behavior

  • Stalking or unwanted repeated contact

  • Doxxing (sharing someone's private information without consent)

  • Encouraging self-harm or suicide

3. No Hate Speech or Discrimination

Content that attacks, demeans, or discriminates against people based on:

  • Race, ethnicity, or national origin

  • Religion or religious beliefs

  • Gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation

  • Disability or medical condition

  • Age

  • Any other protected characteristic

4. Respect Privacy and Consent

Before sharing content involving others:

  • Obtain consent from all identifiable individuals in photos, videos, or audio

  • Get permission before sharing someone else's personal stories or information

  • Respect when someone asks to be removed from a story or have their contribution deleted

  • Do not share private conversations, messages, or information without permission

Remember: Story owners have the right to edit or remove contributor content, but contributors should always be treated with respect.

5. No Impersonation or Misrepresentation

  • Do not impersonate other people, organizations, or entities

  • Do not create fake or misleading accounts

  • Be honest about your identity and relationship to the stories you share

  • Do not misrepresent the source or authenticity of content

6. No Illegal Content or Activities

We prohibit content that:

  • Violates local, state, federal, or international law

  • Promotes or facilitates illegal activities

  • Infringes on intellectual property rights (copyright, trademark, etc.)

  • Contains or links to malware, viruses, or harmful software

  • Involves fraud, scams, or deceptive practices

7. No Sexually Explicit or Inappropriate Content

We do not allow:

  • Any sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance policy - this includes artistic, historical, or educational content)

  • Non-consensual intimate images or recordings ("revenge porn")

  • Sexually explicit content that is not relevant to legitimate personal storytelling

  • Sexual solicitation or exploitation

Note: Tasteful, age-appropriate content in the context of genuine personal memoirs (such as wedding photos, birth stories, or coming-of-age experiences) is acceptable, but must always respect consent and appropriateness.

8. No Violent or Graphic Content

While we understand that life stories may include difficult topics, we prohibit:

  • Graphic violence or gore shared for shock value

  • Content that glorifies or promotes violence

  • Detailed instructions for harming others

  • Content that exploits tragedies or suffering

Context matters: Historical or personal accounts of difficult experiences (war, illness, loss) are acceptable when shared respectfully and appropriately.

9. Respect Intellectual Property

  • Only upload content you have the right to share

  • Do not copy other people's copyrighted work without permission

  • Give proper attribution when referencing others' work

  • Respect photo, video, and audio copyrights

10. No Spam or Manipulation

  • Do not use the service for commercial advertising or spam

  • Do not manipulate the platform with fake accounts or automated tools

  • Do not repeatedly post the same content

  • Do not abuse collaboration features to spam others

Reporting Violations

If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines:

How to Report:

  1. Email us at support@act3.app with:

    • Description of the violation

    • Link to or screenshot of the content

    • Your account email (if applicable)

What Happens Next:

  • We review all reports promptly (typically within 24-48 hours)

  • We may remove content or take action on accounts

  • We keep reports confidential

  • We may contact you for additional information

False Reports:
Filing false or malicious reports may result in action against your account.

Enforcement

When guidelines are violated, we may:

First Violation (Minor):

  • Issue a warning

  • Remove the violating content

  • Require acknowledgment of guidelines

Repeat or Serious Violations:

  • Temporarily suspend account access

  • Permanently terminate the account

  • Report illegal content to law enforcement

  • Pursue legal action if warranted

Immediate Termination:
The following violations result in immediate account termination without warning:

  • Any sexual content involving minors

  • Credible threats of violence

  • Severe harassment or doxxing

  • Illegal content distribution

Appeals

If you believe we removed your content or suspended your account in error:

How to Appeal:

  1. Email support@act3.app with "Appeal" in the subject line

  2. Include:

    • Your account email

    • Description of what was removed/why you were suspended

    • Explanation of why you believe this was an error

Response Time: We will review appeals within 5-7 business days.


Your Responsibility

By using act3.app, you agree to:

  • Follow these Community Guidelines

  • Obtain necessary permissions for content you share

  • Respect others' privacy and consent

  • Report violations you encounter

  • Accept responsibility for content you create or upload
