Story Contribution Agreement

What you're agreeing to:

By contributing stories via conversations, photos, pre recorded video or audio, chat, text or other content to this project, you understand and agree to the following:

1. Your contributions becomes part of the Book

  • Once you submit a story or memory, it becomes part of the collective Book

  • The Primary Account Holder has the right to include your contributions in the final Book, whether digital or printed

  • Your contributions will remain part of the Book even if you later delete your account

2. Rights you're granting

  • You grant the Primary Account Holder an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and publish your contributions as part of this project

  • This means your stories can be included in the book forever, without additional permission needed

  • You retain copyright ownership of your original words, but you cannot revoke permission to use them in this book

3. What you keep

  • You retain copyright to the original content you create

  • You can use your own stories elsewhere if you wish

  • Your moral rights as the author are respected

4. If you delete your account

  • Contributors: Your account access will be removed, but your contributed stories remain part of the book

  • Loved Ones: Your account access will be removed, but the book project continues (unless you're also the Primary Account Holder)

  • Primary Account Holder: Deleting your account will delete the entire book project and all contributions from all users

5. Your privacy rights

  • You can request removal or anonymization of your personal information (name, email, photos of yourself) under applicable privacy laws

  • Shared stories and memories may be retained but can be modified to protect your privacy

  • You can contact us at [support email] to exercise your privacy rights

6. Content standards

  • You confirm that your contributions are truthful to the best of your knowledge

  • You have the right to share any photos or content you upload

  • You will not include content that violates others' privacy or rights

7. Understanding your role

  • Primary Account Holder: You control the book project and can manage all contributions

  • Loved One: You are the subject of this book and can contribute your own stories

  • Contributor: You are helping create this book by sharing your memories and collaborating on stories
